Fiction and Nonfiction
Read the latest fiction, science fiction and mysteries. Many titles are available in large-print editions. Browse nonfiction titles in the Reference and circulating collections, where you will find everything you need to know to keep abreast of the latest developments in politics, religion, science, the arts, music, sports, history and travel. To find books or music on cassette or CD, DVDs and videos, and CD-ROMs, search the Library Catalog by type. Click Power Search and select the type of material you wish to browse in the type drop-down menu.
To find in Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Vietnamese language fiction and nonfiction, search the Library Catalog by location. Click Power Search and select the language of your choice in the location drop-down menu.
Oxnard Public Library is a repository for local government documents. To find government documents in the Library Catalog, click Power Search and select Government documents in the location drop-down menu.

Oxnard Public Library is dedicated to the preservation of local history and culture. The Local History Collection, housed in the Special Collections Room at the main library, may be viewed by appointment. Contact the Local History Librarian at (805) 385-7532.
