FEE FOR USE

Computers are available for $3.00 per hour in the Computer Lab when classes are not in session.

PRINTING

Copies are 10 cents per page for black and white documents, and $1.00 per page for color copies.

GENERAL INFORMATION

The lab is self-help. Staff assistance is not available. Computer classes are available -- click here for a schedule.

Computers may be used as many times per day as desired provided there is a computer available.

You may reserve a computer for one hour at a time.

High-speed Internet access is available.

Adults with a current library card may access their email accounts.

GUIDELINES FOR LAB USE

Tampering with lab equipment is not permitted.

One person per computer.

Food and drink are not permitted.

Cell phones are to be turned to silent mode.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Save your data to a diskette frequently.  The library is not responsible for loss of data.

Keep personal possessions with you at all times.

The Oxnard Public Library complies with the Children's Internet Protection Act.

Report computer problems to library staff.

COMPUTER LAB PC SPECIFICATIONS

The PC Lab computer facility is equipped with the latest software for personal or business applications.  It includes Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.  An entry level video authoring software, Windows MovieMaker, is also available.  Document printing is provided by high-speed color and black and white laser printers.

Read/Write CD-ROM (CD-RW) and USB Flash drives are also available for storing large amounts of data.

Browsing the web sites is fast with the PC Lab's high-speed connection to the Internet.
