A Message From Interim Fire Chief Alex Hamilton

I am honored and humbled to be appointed as the Interim Fire Chief of Oxnard Fire Department. The men and women of the Oxnard Fire Department are an incredibly dedicated group that hold each other to a very high standard to ensure we deliver professional services to our residents, businesses and visitors.

I look forward to continuing to develop cost effective, innovative ways to help support our community. Since this pandemic started earlier in 2020, the Oxnard Fire Department has been at the forefront of the response to support our businesses and residents, working closely with Ventura County Public Health Department and our other city departments. We will continue to do everything we can within our means to help get through this pandemic.

I would like to thank you for visiting the website, as you will see, this department provides a huge variety of services for such a small, modestly funded Fire Department. All of our personnel are proud to work for the Oxnard Fire Department. It is our commitment to you that we stand ready to assist you in your time of need day or night, with respect, professionalism, empathy, and compassion. As we have done for the past 120 years.
