On November 18, 2020, the City of Oxnard elected to restart its retail cannabis program.
The new retail cannabis application window will open on December 4, 2020, and close at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2021.
Up to 16 retail dispensary permits may be issued throughout the City, including three (3) which will be reserved for Local Equity Applicants. The definition of “Local Equity Applicant” and “Local Ownership” can be found in Ordinance No. 2994 (included below). The City’s retail cannabis application process is adopted pursuant to Oxnard City Code Chapters 11 and 16 (as such provisions read as of January 14, 2021 when Ordinance No. 2994 becomes effective), and is subject to the provisions of those Chapters.
