There are several methods you can use to recycle your Christmas trees this year. Please note that all decorations, lights, stands, etc. must be removed prior to recycling.
Free Drop-off Locations
From December 26, 2023 – January 8, 2024 drop off your tree at the Del Norte Recycling & Transfer Station Center, 111 S Del Norte Blvd Monday – Saturday 5:30am – 5:00pm or at:

Residential Curbside
Place your cut up tree inside your yard waste & organics cart on your regularly scheduled service day. This can be done all year round. Flocked trees are not accepted.
- From January 8, 2024 – January 26, 2024 place your tree curbside, next to the trash cart on your service day. Flocked trees are accepted.
Pick-up for Multifamily Housing, HOAs, Condos, & Apartments
Property managers or homeowners association board members may call 805-385-8060 to set up a special pick-up. Standard fees apply.
What to do with old Christmas lights, decorations, unique holiday trash:
Use the Oxnard Recycles Tool – the Waste Wizard to find out what goes where. You can also call a local hardware store to see if they accept them as part of a promotional light exchange program. Lights are accepted at our Buy Back Center as well.
