In 2016 the City of Oxnard hosted a five-day downtown revitalization charrette in conjunction with the Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU) California Chapter from Jan. 29 through Feb. 2, 2016. During the charrette, the community provided input about transforming downtown Oxnard into a vibrant, mixed-use area that’s bike-friendly, pedestrian friendly and includes parks, housing, shopping and dining. The CNU used the public’s feedback to develop the draft Downtown Oxnard Vision Plan, which is now available as of May 31, 2016.
City staff anticipates presenting the plan to Council and the public sometime this summer, so stay tuned for more details.
