Sign Program — City Of Oxnard

The City of Oxnard utilizes sign programs to establish guidelines that ensure multi-tenant building signage and certain signage designs are compatible and uniform with the architecture and site design while providing the benefits of a coordinated, proportional approach to advertising exposure. Overall, sign programs help to enhance the image of a business and helps meet the aesthetic value of the surrounding location.

Each sign program contains various descriptive information such as; letters of approval, conditions, notes and visual representations. This is used to describe the location, type, size, layout, design, size, color, and letter/font styles of the signs.

Submitting a Sign Permit Application
For submitting a sign application, review the Basic Requirements and use the Building Application Form. Submittals are done in person at the Building Division counter.

These documents should not be used as the plans or exhibits within a building permit application. Each sign program has a name and a number that corresponds to the Sign Program Map.
