Mission
The Housing Department’s mission is to promote the general welfare of the City by remedying unsafe and substandard housing, and by relieving the shortage of affordable housing for City residents. This mission is consistent with the City’s General Plan and laws governing our housing funds and resources.
The purpose of the Housing Department is to provide decent, safe, attractive, sanitary, and well maintained housing for eligible low and very low income families in a manner that promotes commitment, exemplary customer service, economy, efficiency and the social well-being of the residents.

In an effort to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), the Oxnard Housing Authority will close all agency lobbies and property management offices to the public, effective March 16, 2020. The closure will be in effect until further notice. All non-urgent, non-emergency work orders and housing quality standards inspections will be temporarily suspended. SELECTION FOR SECTION 8 PROJECT-BASED VOUCHER ASSISTANCE
The Oxnard Housing Authority (OHA) provides public notice of the conditional selection of Community Development Partners (CDP) for an award of up to fifty-five (55) Project Based Vouchers for the 2nd and B affordable housing development. CDP’s proposal was evaluated based on the selection criteria included the OHA’s Request for Proposals for Project Based Vouchers issued on October 12, 2020.
