2020-2024 Ventura County Regional Consolidated Plan
The Consolidated Plan is the comprehensive planning document that describes the overall housing and community development needs of the jurisdiction and outlines a five-year strategy that establishes priorities for meeting those needs. The previous 5 year consolidated plan for the City of Oxnard ended in 2018. To consider whether to join Ventura County Regional Plan, Oxnard was approved for a two year extension until 2020, so as to join the upcoming 2020-2024 Ventura County Regional Plan, or proceed autonomously. Oxnard decided to join the 2020-24 Ventura County Regional Consolidated Plan, along with cities of Ventura, Camarillo, Thousand Oaks and Simi Valley. Joining the regional plan accomplishes the HUD requirement, takes advantage of the similarities within the County of Ventura, while identifying specific local needs.
