Emergency Housing Vouchers (EHV)
The Emergency Housing Vouchers (EHV) program is launching in the Ventura County region as part of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. We are pleased to announce that The Housing Authority of the City of Oxnard (OHA) received an allocation of 46 Vouchers.
Who is eligible to apply for the EHV program?
Eligibility for EHV program is limited to individuals and families who meet the program’s income limit and who are: (1) homeless; (2) at risk of homelessness; (3) fleeing, or attempting to flee, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking or human trafficking; or (4) recently homeless and for whom providing rental assistance will prevent the family’s homelessness or having high risk of housing instability.
How do eligible families apply for the EHV program?
The OHA has partnered with the Ventura County Continuum of Care (CoC) Agency, Coordinated Entry System to refer applicants for the EHV program. It is more than likely that individuals eligible for this resource are already connected with the CoC and will be referred by their assigned case managers.
IF, however; you think you are eligible for the program, please contact the applicable CoC partnering agency on the list. Note: connection to the Coordinated Entry System does not guarantee eligibility or prioritization for housing or rental subsidy assistance.
