Wastewater pretreatment is the reduction, elimination or alteration of pollutants prior to discharge into the wastewater system.
It ensures wastewater discharged to our wastewater collection system meets local, state and federal discharge limits.
Pretreatment protects the health and safety of the public and the environment, as well as the wastewater system and personnel.
How is the pretreatment program implemented?
The pretreatment program is implemented through the Wastewater Discharge permit process.
