COMMISSION NOW ACCEPTING SUBMISSIONS FOR COMMUNITY AWARDS
Oxnard, California. Nominations are now being accepted for the 2017 City of Oxnard Community Relations Commission (CRC) Community Recognition Awards. The public is invited to nominate a youth, senior, individual, business and organization that have demonstrated outstanding accomplishments in the Oxnard community. The selection committee will review all applications and choose a winner in each category based on its selection criteria (see application form for more details). The submission deadline is Friday, September 1, 2017 at 5 PM.
There are two ways you may submit your Nomination Form: 1) Fill-out the online form or 2) Download the form offline Applications can be downloaded off the city’s website (oxnard.org) by clicking the Web banner under Community Recognition Awards. Applications are also available for pick up at the Public Information Office/City Manager’s Office, 300 West Third Street, 4th Floor.
Applications may be submitted by mail, in-person, via email to Oxnard.org or by fax at (805) 385-8335.
The CRC will present the awards to the outstanding youth, senior, individual, business and organization at the City Council meeting on October 3, 2017, in the City Council Chambers at 305 West Third Street, Oxnard, California.
The Community Relations Commission is a citizen advisory group for the City of Oxnard that promotes mutual understanding and respect among all minority and non-minority groups, and it facilitates inter-group harmony through educational and cultural activities.
