Program Description
In California, it is illegal to place hazardous waste in the trash or recycling bin. It must be managed in a way that ensures that it will protect human health and the environment. In Oxnard, residents have access to a FREE program to properly dispose of household hazardous waste (HHW).
Please note – state law restricts the amount of hazardous waste that can be transported at any one time to 15 gallons or 125 pounds of material.
Collection events are held the second Friday and Saturday of each month. Appointments are required and must be confirmed at least five (5) business days prior to the event date.
