PUBLIC REVIEW AND COMMENTING OF THE HOUSING ELEMENT SITES
Sites Comment Review Period: September 21 to October 30, 2020
Oxnard is directed by State law to identify a wide-range of public and private properties (“sites”) that could feasibly be developed or re-developed during the 8.3-year 2021-2029 Housing Element planning period, with a special focus on lower income housing for which the City needs to identify sites with realistic opportunity for about 2,000 lower income units.
This mapping process is just the first step in identifying possible properties that the City Council may include in the 2021-2029 Housing Element as ‘potential housing sites.” As Oxnard is nearly fully developed and most all sites are already developed, occupied, and in use. There is no obligation by any site/property owner(s) or tenants to take any action if his/her property is listed on the site map.
We invite the public to review the sites shown on the Sites Comment Form/Map:
- If you are not familiar with web-based maps, this TUTORIAL will guide you through the process of choosing sites and adding comments.
