Solid Waste Rate Ordinance
On March 1, 2022, the City of Oxnard adopted an update to the Solid Waste Ordinance. Ordinance No. 3007 now codifies what California State Law, Senate Bill 1383, has made mandatory for all jurisdictions.
On September 18, 2012, the City of Oxnard adopted Ordinance No. 2861–ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OXNARD READOPTING AND ESTABLISHING SOLID WASTE SYSTEM USER FEES AND CHARGES.
As provided in the ordinance, rates may be adjusted resulting from changes in third-party costs. On June 13, 2018, the City implemented an automatic rate adjustment of 2.96%. This rate adjustment is a pass-through cost resulting from the increase in disposal service. Environmental Resources Pass-Through Rates Effective August 1, 2018
The City of Oxnard Environmental Resources Division is responsible for the safe and efficient collection, processing, transfer, and disposal of all solid waste, recycling, organics, and special wastes. There are different rates depending upon what service is required.
