At the time of entering into an agreement of sale or exchange of any building, the owner or his/her authorized representative shall obtain from the city a report of the building record showing the regularly authorized use, occupancy and zoning classification of such property. Such report shall be valid for a period not to exceed six months from the date of issue. [Ordinance No. 2383 (effective 1/9/96)].
Requests are processed in the date order that they are received. Processing time of all requests is up to 7 calendar days from the date the request is received. A fee of $45.00 is due and payable with this request. Please download the credit card authorization below and attach to the request. An additional $90.00 per hour charge will be assessed if research involves 45 minutes or more.
There will be NO REFUND or CANCELLATION once the request and payment have been received. Credit card payment can only be made by Credit Cards (Visa or MasterCard) and an email address is required to process your online requests. The Request of Building Records can also be submitted in person at the Building and Engineering Department, located at 214 South C Street.
