Oxnard Sustainable Transportation Plan (STP)
The STP will pair previous City transportation planning efforts with community engagement to create a plan that provides for safer, cleaner, and more sustainable ways to get around Oxnard.
As part of the project, the STP will engage with people who live, work, and spend time in Oxnard to identify places where sustainable transportation improvements can be implemented. This could include things like sidewalks, trees, landscaping, public spaces to sit, better lighting, improved bus stops, more bike lanes, and better transit connections.
The project team will work with the community to identify needs, neighborhood locations and main corridors and develop a project list, conceptual designs, and potential funding sources. This will help the City to apply for grant opportunities that can help fund improvements that are included in the STP.
STP Framework Report
The STP Framework serves as a foundation for the STP to inform engagement and initiate idea generation with City of Oxnard departments, surrounding jurisdictions, community-based organizations, and the wider community of people who live, work, and spend time in Oxnard.
