The annual downtown event has been organized for the last 21 years. The event now includes a special walk in honor of veterans for their patriotism, love of country and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good. The event kicks-off in front of City Hall, 305 West 3rd Street, at 10 AM, with a special dedication and flag ceremony. The public is then invited to join guests and marching bands as they participate in a walk from City Hall to Plaza Park. The event continues at Plaza Park for a special commemoration program at the Veteran’s Memorial. The program will include presentations by invited guests, a raising of the flag, a moment of silence, and the placing of flower arrangements at the base of each of the five monuments by uniformed service members.
