The City Clerk’s Office is responsible for the care of official records and documents of the City such as agendas, minutes, resolutions, ordinances, and other legal and historical records and information; and fulfillment of public records requests.
The City Clerk also coordinates all municipal and special elections held by the City; coordinates the annual boards, commissions, and committees recruitment process; administers the citywide records management program; and administers regulations relating to the Fair Political Practices Commission.
The City Clerk’s office prepares and posts the weekly City Council meeting agendas. These agendas may be viewed on this site by selecting the link on the left-hand menu column of this page. Copies of agendas and minutes of prior meetings and other documents are also available at the City Clerk’s office upon request.
City Council meetings are televised live over local cable TV on Spectrum (Channel 10) and Frontier (Channel 35) and re-broadcast each weekday beginning at 10 a.m. They are also streamed live over the internet and available for viewing 24 hours a day at www.oxnard.org/city-meetings.
Please note: On March 13, 2020, the City Manager of the City of Oxnard proclaimed a Local Emergency consistent with both State and County orders, in response to the global COVID-19 crisis. While the COVID-19 crisis persists, essential services are given top priority and on-site staff is limited as much as possible in compliance with the law. Due to these emergency circumstances, the City’s response to Public Records Act requests may be delayed. Thank you for your patience in these unprecedented times.
