Mr. Brice currently serves as Division Chief for the Orange County Fire Authority (OCF A). It is expected that Mr. Brice will assume his duties as Oxnard’s Fire Chief on December 7, 2015 and will lead a department that supports 8 fire stations, 107 positions and an annual operating budget of $22,862,130. “I know that Bryan Brice is exceptionally qualified for this position and I am confident he will be a great asset to the Oxnard community. The men and women of the fire department will be well-served with him at the helm”, said Mr. Nyhoff. “Bryan brings with him a mix of strategic planning, community outreach/engagement, organizational development and general municipal administration. He has a strong belief in good government and is passionate about his career in public service.” Nyhoff said. “Bryan’s wealth of experience will be an asset to the City of Oxnard. He brings a great set of leadership skills and I look forward to working with him as our next Fire Chief’, said Public Safety Chief Jeri Williams. Bryan Brice comes to Oxnard having served in a variety of assignments with the OCF A, including paramedic, hazardous materials specialist, urban search and rescue and wildland urban interface. In his twenty-six years of experience he has been involved in strategic plan development, regional contract proposals, developer agreements and numerous high level projects. Currently he serves as the local Fire Chief assigned to five of Orange County Fire Authority cities: Aliso Viejo, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Woods and Lake Forest. These responsibilities consist of administration and operations of a large geographical area, six career fire stations with 99 personnel and one ofFEMA’s national Urban Search and Rescue teams (California Task Force 5). Bryan is active within the communities he serves and participates with the Rotary Club, the cities’ leadership academies and community preparedness academies. “I am excited and honored to be joining a great fire department like Oxnard” said Bryan.
