City of Oxnard closures and reminders for Memorial Day May 30, 2016
OXNARD, Calif.–Residents and businesses are reminded that City Hall and many City departments will be closed Monday, May 30, 2016, in observance of Memorial Day.
Police and Fire department personnel will be on duty to provide patrol, fire, paramedic and other emergency services for the holiday. For life-threatening emergencies, always call 9-1-1. “If You See Something, Say Something” by calling the Oxnard Police Department at (805) 385-7740 for non-emergencies. Residents are reminded that Spanish translators are available, and callers can report a crime or suspicious activity anonymously.
The Oxnard City Council will not meet following the holiday on Tuesday, May 31.
The Public Works Department will suspend residential trash pickup Monday, May 30. Trash pickup will resume on Tuesday, May 31. For more information, call (805) 385-8060.
The customer call center for the Public Works Department will be closed for the holiday, but utility customers can pay their bills online at www.oxnard.org/online-payments or by phone at (805) 385-7816. Residents and businesses who need to report water-related emergencies should call (805) 385-8136. For wastewater- and storm water-related emergencies, call (805) 385-8280.
The City’s Service Center, all Oxnard Library branches and the Housing Department and Housing Authority will be closed May 30 for the holiday. All community centers operated by the Recreation and Community Services Department will also be closed. No site reservations are accepted for community centers for holidays.
The business office at the Oxnard Performing Arts Center & Convention Center will be closed May 30, but the box office will be open from 2-6 p.m. The Carnegie Art Museum is closed on Mondays.
While the public is welcome to enjoy most park space on a first-come, first-serve basis, holiday reservations are required by Wednesday, May 25, for the park areas listed below. Call (805) 385-7950 for reservations.

- Del Sol Park: fenced-in picnic area
- Rio Lindo Park: two group areas
- Oxnard Beach Park: two covered areas
- Crescent Park: all picnic areas
- East Park: all picnic areas
- Vineyard Park: all picnic areas
- Windrow Park: all picnic areas
