City of Oxnard Special Event Support Program
The City of Oxnard’s annual Special Event Support Program (SESP) offers a subsidy toward City services for events associated with major recognized holidays within the City of Oxnard for each fiscal year (July 01 – June 30).
It is the intention of the City to encourage the production of free special events that enhance the quality of life, provide low-cost entertainment and other leisure activities, and contribute to the dynamic atmosphere of the community.
The program aims to support community events that meets these goals:
- Are free and open to the public
- Encourage community participation
- Strengthen the City’s cultural awareness and identity
- Attract residents and visitors
- Enhance economic development

In order to qualify for support, an event must meet the eligibility criteria, support the program goals, and fall into one of the three outlined support categories.

Applications can be submitted in the following ways:
- Email: Submit your completed application to samantha.shapiro@oxnard.org.
- In Person: Please contact Samantha Shapiro at 805-385-7447 to schedule a time to drop off your completed application at City Hall.
Deadline
Completed applications must be received by 5:00 p.m. PST on Thursday, March 28, 2024.
No applications will be accepted after the deadline.
