Recreation and Community Services offers a wide variety of programs for youth of all ages. See below for more details about everything we offer!
Recreation Classes
Classes are available in several areas, including arts, special interests, tech, sports, and academics. These programs change from season to season. Please see the Recreation Guide (available on our home page), or head over to our Active Net class registration page to see what’s currently being offered.
League Sports
We host a rotating set of youth sports leagues year-round. Our programs emphasize enjoyment of sports, skills, sportsmanship, and team play! Our programs include Mighty Mights Sports, Basketball, Volleyball, Flag Football, Jr High Soccer, and Jr High Softball.
Police Activities League (PAL)
The Oxnard Police Activities League (PAL) is a city-wide, after-school crime prevention program designed to build positive relationships between youth, police officers and the community. Recreational, educational, enrichment and mentoring programs are offered to youth ages 7 to 18, at no cost to participants.
City Corps
Oxnard City Corps is an organization designed to give youth work experience while learning valuable skills and serving their community. We offer opportunities for youth to take initiative in their exploration of many career paths. Youth also learn the value of caring for their town while gaining valuable team-based work experience. Oxnard City Corps serves youth ages 12-24.
Special Populations (Special Needs)
Our Special Populations program provides recreational and social programming for the physically challenged and special needs population of Oxnard.
