Welcome to our special series of play times designed for children ages 0-4 and their families. This workshop, titled “1-2-3 Come Play With Me,” aims to create an environment where experts on early childhood development can interact with you in an informal setting while you play with your child. Hosted at the South Oxnard Branch library, these sessions are scheduled every Thursday in May at 11 a.m.
Each week, our workshop features a variety of engaging activities designed to stimulate your child’s growth and development. Here’s what you can expect:
Simple Art Project
Art plays a crucial role in early childhood development. It not only boosts creativity but also improves motor skills, decision-making abilities, and even concentration.
Movement Challenge
Physical activity is an essential part of a child’s growth. Our movement challenges are designed to be fun and engaging, promoting physical development and coordination.
Early Childhood Services and Expertise
At each session, experts in early childhood development and local services for children in this age range will be present to provide insights, answer your questions, and talk about their programs. All of these sessions are presented casually, and you are encouraged to play with your child. This is a great opportunity for you to gain knowledge about your child’s development, what you can do at home to support their development, and learn about local services.
Fine Motor Activities
We understand the importance of fine motor skills in early childhood development. These skills are critical for a child’s ability to do more complex tasks later in life. Our workshop includes activities designed to enhance these skills and teach parents how to build on these lessons at home.
