Introducing the California State Library Parks Pass!
With your library card, you can check out a pass that will allow you free vehicle day-use entry to over 200 participating state park units.
The California State Library Parks Pass allows entry of one passenger vehicle with capacity of nine people or less or one highway licensed motorcycle.
The pass cannot be used at state park units operated by federal or local government and private agencies or concessionaires. Please click here to get a list of state parks where the passes cannot be used. It is not valid for per-person entry and does not cover additional usage or activity costs, such as tour fees, boat use, camping, group use or sites, special events, additional/extra vehicle fees, sanitation disposal use or for supplemental fees. The borrowing conditions are:
- Three week loan period
- Holdable via the library catalog
- Kept at our circulation desks. Can be checked out upon request during our service hours if one is available
- Nonrenewable
- Passes will be deactivated and unable to be used if lost or not returned to the library on time.
- $10 will be charged a patron for lost and unreturned passes
